Using Sugru

Post by jothie » Sat Oct 01, 2016 2:38 am

With part 2 of the Custom Part build by Wermy done I'm about to start my own, first build of a Game Boy Zero(waiting for safe shutdown board.) However there are a few new 3d printed parts in Wermy's latest build mostly used to raise an item or position it correctly and me without a 3d printer I thought what would be an easier way to achieve this. So I thought about a product I had seen a few months ago on a tech blog called Sugru.

If you are unfamiliar with Sugru its basically a moldable glue that turns into rubber after curing for 24 hours. You can mold it into virtually any shape. It says its temperature resistant up to 356 degree F. So I see no reason it can't be used inside the case.

I was also thinking you could use Sugru(of the same color of the case) on the ports to make them flush and look neat.
