Ribbon cable for gearbest screen

Hi all,

So I am finishing up my second GBZ and have a gearbest screen in this one, just wondering what people who have used that screen are doing with the ribbon cable and driver board, I am not sure what the best way to position it is, or how durable are those ribbon cables, should I be using anything to cover them? my last project the screen had a very short ribbon cable and the driver board essentially folded over onto the back of the screen with no excess.

Any input will be appreciated.


Old screen fit nicely, very short ribbon cable, but a huge board.

Gearbest screen has quite a bit longer ribbon cable but a much smaller board.

Hey @robocop I folded the the cable and put a dab of hot glue in between the folds to hold it in place. It worked really well.
