how do you power your arduino pro micro

Post by Lpoolm » Wed Dec 14, 2016 9:14 am

so for my second build i went for the cheap arduino pro micro
http://www.ebay.de/itm/ATmega32u4-Micro ... SwepJXVnvm
i have many problems with this build. the latest being my pi overheats. i have narrowed down the problem being when i plug the arduino into my hub the heating starts so was hoping people who have used this cheaper board could tell me how they connected?
The teensy has pads for the usb d-/d+ but this doesnt. i asked on another thread and was told to connect a micro usb one end with the other wired to the hub but due to the heating problem i need to try another method?
