Display Wiring

So I noticed when watching Part 3 of the video guides that like most of the tft screens used wermy has a red, black, yellow and white wire but he wired the yellow and white wires to the positive and negative connections for a "TV" on the pi zero. The screen I use has these same wires but the yellow wire is input 1 and white is input 2. Is this not the case with the screen he is using? My screen does not have an actual negative wire for me to use in this connection, from what I read it is just a shield around the wire from point A to B.

The second thing I noticed is he is putting the yellow wire on the "circle" contact rather than the square contact. I read in the article below that the positive is supposed to go to the Square (labeled TV) and negative to the Circle connection. (Square and Circle connections are shown in the article below)

Can someone help me clear this up? I appreciate any help.

Yeah, I think the wiring on the adafruit one is backwards. You can see it in the image here:

The shield on the yellow plug goes to the yellow wire. I should probably have mentioned it in the video, come to think of it. I was just showing folks how to wire up the Adafruit one specifically. :\

Ok that definitely clears that up, thanks! Have you wired up one of these amazon screens by chance? I'm still unsure where to get the ground wire to go with the positive composite wire. I cut through the wire and didn't find the ground until about halfway through the wiring itself. It seems like they just started putting shielding on it half way through and then soldered it to the negative end of the composite plug. I've tried it on Raspberry Pi 1 and it works without the negative wire but I read that the ground is to keep out interference so I'm unsure if I would have issues with that or not.
