Hd display Raspberry pi 3, 7,000mah
Re: Hd display Raspberry pi 3, 7,000mah
1up sent me a prototype today for what I asked for. 6 button and two joysticks. Looks ugly, but I think it will look much better in all black with black buttons. Good for ps1 and n64. Here's the pic. He quotes me 449 which isn't bad considering my GBZ's go for 400 on eBay with zero joysticks, 4 buttons and 240p. All the crap we order from china he probably gets for pennies local.

Re: Hd display Raspberry pi 3, 7,000mah
I ordered this screen a while ago, for 22€ on ebay (as 3.5" Raspberry Pi LCD HDMI USB Touch Screen Display Audio for Pi 2 Pi 3 Model B), I was never able to get the touchscreen working, even with the provided os images. The display showed random green vertical lights until I uncommeted

Re: Hd display Raspberry pi 3, 7,000mah
The 1up guy finally got back to me. Quoted me 350 for one sans the joysticks. Not too bad but it probably could be a lot cheaper. I kinda wish he just sold the board so I can build most of it together. I also found this article from awhile back: http://www.open-consoles-news.fr/2017/0 ... oy-de.html
Shows an older version of the board assembly. Pretty interesting.

And now I know why I wasn't able to get touchscreen to work : if you look closely on the previous photo's top right corner, you can see that my touch screen ribbon came pre-cut for my convenience

Full screen
You can safely cut the left part with the Kedei silkscreen, as there is no electronic on this part. I chose to remove the back-light power switch and solder it always on.
I also removed the screen from the pcb (held in place with two strip of not too strongly adhesive foam :

Full screen
I finally removed the touch screen ribbon as it will never work for me.
I'm not sure if the grounding black wire stuck with some metallic tape is only useful when you use the touch screen. It's soldered to the HDMI plug anchor point.

Re: Hd display Raspberry pi 3, 7,000mah
hello all.
I received my screen today.
I place on my RB Pi 3, usb cable, blue screen logo with logo, Retropie logo and...................... black screen.
Now, black screen always. No blue screen, nothing.
If you plug the screen into usb (without RB), it turns on ?
Big thanks
