Power problem.

Hi,

I´m just wiring everything just to try if everything goes okay.

I just did the power board tutorial. It went fine all the tests: usb, battery and charging.

So I just want to test it out with everything connected. I pinpointed the areas with a circled red in the picture.



RPi does not turn on. I measured the volts and it´s about 1.92v by usb and by battery. Am I connecting the RPI okay?

two things....

cant see a battery connected....

and more importantly you have the pi zero connected to the 5v/Gnd in (top of the power strip), which should be the connections coming from the powerboost or power supply.....

the pi zero should be connected to the other points on the power strip that distributes the 5v/Gnd not the source of the 5v/Gnd (which should be coming from your powerboost/battery/5v power

Eehmm...I think I don´t understand you...

The RPI is connected to the "other points". The only part which is connected to the IN in the strip is the cables coming from the power supply.

Am I doing something wrong?

my bad....


your wires are a bit of a mess.... i mistook your amp as the power boost (which also doesnt make sense of my earlier post) sorry

is your battery connected....

is it fully charged....

Also why have you got a live (red) and gnd (black) coming from your switch....


Also one of your red wires near where you've circled on the Powerboost looks a little burnt (could be wrong)

Did you insert the sd card with retropie in the rasppi? ait doesn't boot without any S.O.

I´m using it with a cable to check if everything works. I know my cable setup is a little bit messy, will try to optimise it later.

About the burnt, is just the plastic.

Am I connecting it wrong? I think it makes sense no? from the powerboost to the strip, and in the strip all the other components.

There's one thing you can do but very focus fingers are needed xd. If the Pi does not boot and only it does when you plug the microusb cable, try to solder + and - to the pins of the microusb socket you know what I mean? instead of circles points you have in rasp pi
