RPi0 Screen Cycling Through RGB Colours?

Post by hykote » Tue May 24, 2016 1:57 pm

Hi,

I've just set up my screen, a gearbest screen (http://sudomod.com/wiki/index.php?title ... te_Display)

I modded the board to run off 5v (soldered a cable as per the wiki) and followed the guide using Red/Black/Yellow/White cables to the respective Rpi0 points.

However when I used my SD card (with RetroPie) on it the screen loads however it just cycles through a red/blue/green/white and black screen.

Am I missing something, beginner so a bit stuck here.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I just ordered one of those, I hope you will solve your problem.
I hope I will not have problems too ! :?

Edit : Did you test the screen before modding it ?

This happens when the screen is not picking up signal make sure you have the video wire and ground wired to the raspberry pi, its going though the colours because its in test mode due to no signal detected.

Try to reverse the yellow and the white wire on the raspberry. On my Adafruit 2.5 TFT I had to put the yellow in the square and the white in the circle to make it work.
