Looking forward to this, this would decrease the amount of wires used and allow more space for other things. Can't wait :)

Is the USB really needed ?
The GPIO works well, Popcorn seems to finally have very good results.
A buffer + amp + volume wheel card would be great !

But after all, do what you wish :)
