Finished GB zero but usb won't work! Help
Finished GB zero but usb won't work! Help
So I just finished my gameboy zero. (Skipping audio for now since I'm missing a volume wheel) but I fire it up and the USB hub is not working. Controls from teensy won't work and neither will anything else I plug into the side USB port. What could be the issue? I checked and I don't think I shorted the connection near PP23

Hey there,
Did you try the USB hub out before wiring it up, after you removed the USB ports? If that worked then I'd try resoldering with slightly shorter stripped parts on your wires, both the white and green ones look pretty dang close to those usb port legs (hard to tell from a picture though).

I made sure they weren't shorted. I just connected the yellow and white from the teensy straight to the Pi and it worked. With the positive and ground still going thru the USB hub. Not sure what to make of this

Alright so your Teensy is working, that's good. Did you test the hub itself? I know it's a pain but you could wire up a USB cable back to it and plug it in directly to the pi, and see if it still works that way.401Gaming wrote:wermy wrote:Hey there,

Yea I guess I can try that. It is pumping out power to run the teensy tho. Although I just fired it back up and now even the teensy wired straight into the Pi isn't working anymore for some reasonwermy wrote:Alright so your Teensy is working, that's good. So there is absolutely no drop in resistance between that leg and pad 23? You are describing exactly my infuriating experience the other day.401Gaming wrote: Yea I guess I can try that. I've double, triple, and quadruple checked lol. I think I may have ruined the USB hub when I cut it down to 3 ports. It provides power to the teensy but for some reason no USB device I plug into it workswermy wrote:So there is absolutely no drop in resistance between that leg and pad 23?
