Woah that is incredibly cheap, how well is it working out for you?

@Kilren Apparently it's one amp, from the site:

Specification:

Charging voltage input: 5V 1A
Step up voltage output: 5V 1A max
Transient current: 180uA
Red LED: Charging
Green LED: Charging completed
Blue LED: There is a load in the USB
Size: 50 x 20 x 9 mm

Thanks. I missed that. Have you wired it in yet?

Don't have one, I'm yet to get a power source, powerboost is sold out, looking at a powerbank I have I see the IC datasheet mentions a max charge current of 1a, not sure if I can use that instead or this alternative since the powerboost works at 2a according to adafruit.

Good catch on the 2amp. I have been awake for the last 48 hours in a rotation, my mind is turned off. Sorry :P

@sander Have you wired this in yet? Do you have a schema?

Yes I have, I would like to do a build log but my build is currently still in progress. However the wiring is simple, battery + goes to the
+ pad and the battery - to the - pad on the pcb. The micro usb port is for charging and the regular one is where you connect the
Rpi. You can remove this last connector to make the board a lot smaller. I connected the rpi zero and the screen and the load I see is about 400mah. So I think 1A is more then enough.

That's a PowerBoost 500, which supports 500mA charging. The current draw of the Pi Zero is about 500mA, so you won't be able to charge it while it's powered on, as it would be underpowered and could cause problems. If you charged it while the device was off, you would probably be able to get by, but otherwise a Powerboost 1000C is the better choice. :)

Looks too small to be powerful enough. And not a single word about outputs.

Doesn't seem to have a booster circuit so I'm pretty sure that's just for charging a battery, it won't give ypu a 5v output for the raspberry
