Re: GBZ Guide Part 5
Nice job on the video like the others! Does anyone have a decent pot wheel similar in dimensions which I guess is the thickness source? same withe headphone socket? I have a few headphone sockets coming to see the size and dimensions of it can be compatible but the pin locations obviously aren't the same.

Re: GBZ Guide Part 5
A little confused with what you're asking. Are you asking for OEM similar parts, or parts that wermy used?Helder wrote:Nice job on the video like the others! If it is what wermy used it is this. 10k ohm pot

Looking for similar OEM parts I know they'll be hard to get but maybe someone has info on a source.

I think this one is pretty much identical to the original DMG stereo pot:Helder wrote:Nice job on the video like the others! Re: GBZ Guide Part 5
If memory serves correctly, the oem was actually a 1k ohm. Won't make a big difference in your build, as long so you stay at 10k or lessQuatrerwin wrote:I think this one is pretty much identical to the original DMG stereo pot:Helder wrote:Nice job on the video like the others! I'm basing it off of this image (note that the thickness is actually 2mm, not 1mm):Kilren wrote:If memory serves correctly, the oem was actually a 1k ohm. It could be wrong. I've seen the image floating around the forums here too. I haven't pulled the volume pot from my old gameboy to test it yet.

It's a 10kOhm wheel potentiometer from Radio Shack.Rod2D2 wrote:@Wermy where did you purchase the volume wheel you are using for the next Guide 6? Are there any specs I should be looking for?

Re: GBZ Guide Part 5
@anyone really. Has anyone found any useful way of getting the GB cartridge open without buying the security bit from Kitsch-bent? the bit is only $3 but shipping is $6. I find it to be a little overkill.
