Re: Custom GameBoy Zero RetroPie Splash Screen
@wermy Do you have a vector of the SudoMod logo that you can send me? Hoping that I can use it in the extension to the existing splash screen I am putting together?

yes, i can imaging it would be more complicated but imagine something like this but with the gameboy zeroAJRedfern wrote:Cheers for the feedback, I'll have to try find time to give it a go. It would involve some more in depth animation, nothing difficult though, just more time consuming.otaola.franc wrote: love it!!! maybe a good idea is if it shows gameboy normally and the berry from raspberry drops from the upper screen and begins smashing down the O until it disapear and after the berry stops bouncing it show "Zero" in a smaller size next to the gameboy.

Mine seemed to boot a bit slower than yours so would play the video and then go back to booting. I've added another few seconds which seems to work taking it to the Emulation Station screen.
Great video, makes the GBZ look more stock.

Yeah, would look quite good and would make that one splash screen much longer to cover the boot text. I'm working on a few other versions at the moment based on an extension of the existing one, once I've got these done I'll give it a go. I may even end up using the Pixar splash audio.otaola.franc wrote:yes, i can imaging it would be more complicated but imagine something like this but with the gameboy zeroAJRedfern wrote:Cheers for the feedback, I'll have to try find time to give it a go. I'm working on a longer version that should take you to the RetroPie menu, I struggled on the timings as I don't have a build to test it on yet. The next version should take it to 15-20 seconds. Keep an eye out for it over the next few days.beerman wrote:Mine seemed to boot a bit slower than yours so would play the video and then go back to booting. If it helps here's the one I modded from yours.

I just copied the last second and repeated it a few times. It's 14 seconds long which seems to cover my boot time.

I should have a 20 second extended version of my original splash screen available for upload around 12:30/13:00GMT, could I have 1/2 volunteers to test it?

Little bit earlier than planned, I've made an extended version of the splash screen which now includes the logos for RetroPie and an Emulation Station loading screen (I can do them for other software on request, however I chose RetroPie based on popularity and that I use it on my other devices.). I've also slowed the 'Game Boy' drop slightly as I felt it was a little fast. The total run time is just over 20 seconds which should (hopefully) cover the boot text. However I am still not at a stage where I can test it on a build of my own (still waiting on parts).
@wermy I would be more than happy to do a version that includes the SudoMod logo if you can send me a vector of the logo?

Re: Custom GameBoy Zero RetroPie Splash Screen
I've tested it on hdmi but when it gets to the emulation station bit of the video it goes widescreen and uses a different shade of white. I can't test it on the lcd as I've disconnected it to do a mock up of everything fitting in the case.
