if your gonna use the powerboost, you really need to connect a battery to it.... so as it can convert something into 5v....

thats why your getting the funky reading from 4 to 5v....

i'm pretty sure your screen is fine, tidy up the connections and just make sure you get 5v to the screen...

everything should be ok from there...

I will wait until my battery arrives. I wanted to have everything in place but guess i can wait.

That's the best way...

Your not the only one...
A lot of people have bits missing from what completely required for certain parts of the build, and then wonder why things aren't working properly...

I'm sure once you've got it wired properly and the power is correct it should be fine

I now have the battery and finally found some time to play. I have the screen working from the powerboost but I still have the same problem with flickering. Is there anything else I can try?

can you show, how everything is wired up... (some clear photos)

i've a feeling you either dont have enough power going to the screen or the video onnection is slightly weak....

i doubt that you have a faulty screen, its most probably a wiring issue or power issue
