I found a cheap-ish full resolution 640x480 screen on ebay for $85. I posted it here originally: http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... =120#p1351

It ended up being $101.59 with shipping. I figured it would be a month before it got here, but I purchased it on 5/11 and it just arrived this morning (5/16) via DHL! It was packed extremely well and came out of the box in great shape.

Now the fun part! Video comparison of the Niceshopping screen from Amazon 320x240 (left) and this 640x480 screen on the right. Be sure to turn on 720p mode in YouTube player settings for full resolution action!

For me, I can't live with the 320x240 screen knowing that half the pixels are "gone." I want to see each and every one! Plus that halo around areas of sharp contrast on the 320 screen kills me.

If there's anything else people would like to see, let me know.

It looks beautiful just from the picture, I just can't justify spending that much on just the screen considering that's almost what the whole project is gonna cost me

Took a couple photos of the display board. It's the same size as the screen and fits EXACTLY (width-wise) inside the GB...almost like it was made for it.

The back is labeled very nicely and I followed the traces on the little remote switch board and none of the switches are hooked up to those power components towards the top. It should be easy to make a custom button board and just run the wires back to the controller board.

I gotta say I'm very tempted. That price point is a bit steep but man that resolution is lovely. I wonder if any AliExpress dealers would have something similar for cheaper.

The screen looks realy great, but what about the power consumption? Does it run with 5V?

Wow, the difference in clarity is definitely phenomenal. I can't justify spending that much, but it's probably a viable option for those who want to get better quality.
Thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks for the comparison! That really is much better.
As i said in the other thread, I found a user on an electronics forums that sold 2 of them.
I got one for 40€ and now i am going to wait for it to arrive (or for him to scam me out of the money :D)
Edit: I got this one here:

Hei guys :) A short question. Could any of you please tell me what is the size (thickness) of the screen + display driver board if it's put together with the screen? I'm calculating a few things and that info would mean a lot. I would guess 10mm from the eye, but a measurement would be helpful.

I've ordered these 3 screens
