Is there a USB hub alternative??

I aimed to be finished for the weekend ready for my week away but after reading a few threads I noticed a lot of people saying there hubs were not recognising keyboards?
Thought I better check mine and I have the same problem
Anyway does anyone have any ideas why so many are not working is it purely a compatibility issue or could it be they need more power? I wondered if it was wired direct to the power boost, would this help or am I wasting my time?
I have ordered one recommended off the wiki but that won't turn up for a few weeks so looks like I'm not going to have my gameboy for my hols unless someone has any ideas???

I'm wondering are people using a wired keyboard or a wireless one? I'm wondering if a wireless keyboard might be more compatible.

I thinks the problem is more specific. A lot of USB hubs do work in general (e.g. WLAN Dongle or USB Stick), but as soon as a wired keyboard is connected, this device won't. Are all of the hubs mentioned in the wiki confirmed to work with wired keyboards?

Maybe it's dependent on the OS, Retropi or RecalBox. Is anyone one having problems using one of these 2?

Which one do you have? It would be nice to maybe get a list of known working wired/wireless keyboards and mice so people can get something compatible. You know how about a bluetooth module? and a bluetooth keyboard?
