Lines on New 3.5" Display

I recently received the display for my Game Boy Zero (This One). To test It, I plugged in an old VCR player and it looked great!
Decided to do a quick test with the Pi Zero and some 24 AWG wire and I got these weird static scanning/moving lines across the screen.

Was wondering If this was just because it wasn't a great connection (No soldering) or It was some sort of bigger issue
Thanks! (First post!

Update! I attached the two wires from the pi to the connecter on the cable for the display (One on the inside one on the outside) and the lines are gone!
Is it possible that there is some sort of filter in the cable that connects to the display that is getting rid of the noise/lines?
