Try to find a floppy ribbon cable or 40pin IDE cable. If yours is very fine gauge, it's likely to be an 80pin cable.Fox wrote:Wermy said he used some wire from an IDE cable. I took an unused IDE cable that I have and the wire was 32awg! Maybe all IDE cables aren't created equal because that seems too small.

The IDE's biggest advantage is keeping all the cords clean and organized.Camble wrote:Try to find a floppy ribbon cable or 40pin IDE cable. They're also very thin, which means that they can wrap around things. Hence ribbon.

Can anyone recommend a place to buy wires? I am having a hard time finding a place with spools. Amazon has kits, but they are not very flexible. They are very stiff wires.

Microcenter carries 22-24awg wire. If your area still has a RadioShack, they have 20, 22, 26, and 30awg wire. I just picked up some 22 and 30, and the 30 is a single wire with insulation. I'm not sure that will work.
