In Wermy's pictures his helping had and rubber ends on his alligator clips. I have looked all over the internet and all I can find are rubber covers for alligator clips. Where can I find these rubber tips for the alligator clips? I am tired of scratching my boards.

You can buy helping hands with rubber enclosed alliagator clips.
But if you want to "upgrade" yours, try heat shrink tubes.

Okay, Everything I saw on Amazon did not have them. I have some heat shrink. That is a good idea.

For the poor man's fix, I just wrap it once in electrical tape. I go back and forth with different needs, so it is efficient and quick enough for me.

I didn't use the rubber caps on the switch itself, found them in my misc bits/pieces drawer while trying to find something to cover the clips and make them more grippy. Worked nicely.

This is what I did, sense I was using the wires from the eth cable anyways.

Wow, that looks really good! Does it improve the grip significantly?

I just wrapped electrical tape around the ends. Not the most elegant but it works in a pinch.

You lose the little teeth grips, but I think it works great. Worse case, you can just take it off if you do not like it. Most people do not keep the cable casing when they cut it for the wires.
