Adjusting screen resolution in emulation station

Post by spacedementia87 » Wed Sep 07, 2016 8:00 am

Hello all,

I have finally got my controller and screen up and running, but the quality on the screen is just awful!

I have fiddled with the /boot/config.txt on the RPi and that has now left the screen readable when on the terminal, but it seems these settings have no effect on emulation station. Does it have a separate config file that is overriding boot/config.txt?

Which screen are you using? The 320x240 screens tend to look a little fuzzy but I don't think there is a solution for that.

It would also help if you could post a picture of your screen displaying something. This makes it easier to get an idea of what you are talking about.

I think it is a 320x240 screen and setting the config file to that makes the text in the terminal readable.

Here is an image of within emulation station but weirdly, through the camera it looks better than usual

When looking at it directly that text on the right is just a solid white block pretty much.
