Hi soon I'll be getting helders AIO board and thinking to making use of the analogue stick part. I'm thinking of using something like this from the psp.
But if you already have this in a biuld please share your views e.g type of stick plus any placement of stick issues you came across most I've seen has been in the middle of the gameboy but I like the look of putting it under the d-pad.

I was thinking under the D-Pad would be a good place. I've been looking into doing this myself. Have you got any examples of wiring it up?
Note: I'm using Helder'a PCB.

I have the PSP 1000 Stick.
With the stick turn up side down and the copper pads is on the right, I wired -
X-Axis
+5v
Y-Axis
GND
According to this it works the way I wired it -

But RetroPie does not recognize the stick, according to the post in this forum it is -
X-Axis
GND
Y-Axis
+5v
I am waiting for the USBASP to arrive in order to reprogram the AIO then I'll see if my wiring is correct. It could be that it does not matter where you wired the +5v and GND.

It is a bit tight

pressing against the rubber pad of the Start/Select button but the feel of the stick is just right for me.
Yes the buttons, it would have been the black buttons but the feel of the black buttons are not what I would like them to be so I took the buttons from the NES USB Clone controller. Real shame that the NES buttons are smaller in size than the Black buttons.

Sota, how hard was it to fit 2 analog sticks? And also, how much have you benefited from 2 sticks instead of 1? I'm thinking about maybe doing 2.
