@Floyd That looks like the GearBest screen I have. Here's how to bypass the voltage regulator.

Native resolution is 320x480?

Because of that: Resolution adjustable, support 480 * 320 ---- 1920 * 1080 between any resolution

now to find a cheap higher res screen than the ones i use now (bw screen)
My first GBZ build -=HERE=- -> Became a gift to my little brother!
My 2nd GBZ build -=WIP HERE=- -> going with HDMI!

Thanks for replying! It does look alot like your GearBest screen although some components are placed differently. I'll take your picture as a reference and I'll give it a try and post my findings here!

that won't be that resolution... same as all other backup cam screens that are used i think

@Floyd Best thing to do is look up the datasheet for the voltage regulator and connect your 5v supply directly to its output.

Hi Camble, thanks for your advice. I followed it up and got my screen working as you can see on the picture below. Sadly the text on the screen is hardly readable... is this normal? I cannot play games to check the resolution or do anything yet since my controller is in the making...

Edit: I found alot of other similar post about screen res so i'm going to follow them up first.

the board is to wide to fit inside the GB case
