Hi guys,

as you surely knew, wermy posted another blog entry (http://sudomod.com/game-boy-zero-screen-alternatives/) regarding the screens and the discussion that is going on in these forums.

While he is working on a wiki and/or a new forum, i wanted to help him and all the people here that plan to build something new, by collecting information about your screens.

What i am asking of you is this:
Please post the following to help this forum and its users
  • - where did you buy your screen (amazon.com, .de, other shop)
    - who was the seller that sold it to you (if amazon marketplace)
    - what was the brand of the screen (ePathChina, BW)
    - dimensions of the case, the screen and the active area in mm
    - did you have to remove an IC to make it work with 5v
    - pictures of the front and back (with case)
    - picture of the board
    - if used in a project here under project section, link
That would be great and you would help us a lot by taking the time to do this.

Thank you kindly!

Update: There is a pictured tutorial on what to desolder/rewire,
if you want your screen to work with 5V without any problem.
Just take a look at the table below under "notes".

Thanks for doing this! Wiki is *almost* ready. The frontend editor is not playing nice with the site's theme, so once I solve that it'll be ready for people to start contributing to.

I got mine from niceshopping through amazon and I am in the US. Mine came with the much smaller blue controller board and it worked off of 5v without any modification. I'll post pictures when I get home. Apparently niceshopping carries more than one version of the screen.

Does yours look to be the same as the one in Wermy's screen guide?

Yup. The one on the right in the last picture of that guide.

Edit. Thought I should say I ordered it pretty early on when another poster claimed that it worked. So maybe they ran out of stock on these and got in a shipment of the one you received?

It's interesting that they have multiple versions the one that you receive my just depend on where they are shipping from depending on if they have multiple locations....

I have ordered the screen from Us-vision on Amazon. It hasn't arrived yet, so I'll keep everyone posted. :)

Hey Guys,

I don't think the 3.5'' touchscreen will work well with the Gameboy right?
