Yesterday i bought this usb hub:

I soldered it to the pi0 and got my arduino pro micro working on one of the Ports on the hub.
Then I tried to solder the external usb port on the hub and tested it with my edimax wlan stick but it didn't work. The edimax just lit up - no blinking- and I didn't get the wlan connection working.

Has anyone an idea what I did wrong?

You got a non compatible hub, you can try the usb 1.1 speed mod and your wifi might work.
