What is the pinout for your wiring to your screen? Have a datasheet of the screen? And what are you using to drive the LED?

I have tried both mode 5(18bit) and 7(24bit) by following the pins on dpi18 or dpi24 overlays. You can see the pinouts on https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... rrypi/dpi/
Datasheet: http://aitendo3.sakura.ne.jp/aitendo_da ... 5NC111.pdf
I'm just using a 19v laptop power adapter for testing.

Re: GBZ35 & GBZ35-Dark RetroPie Themes for Small Screens
its not a bug....
your using the GBZ35 Dark theme....
and as the standard Playstation text is in Black, and the banner is also Dark its just how its gonna look...
if you wanna change it, you'll have to edit the SVG file, and change the standard Playstation text to a lighter colour....
or just use the GBZ35 theme....
NB: also if your running things on a Pi Zero, the Playstation runs really poor on it...
(is it really worth going to the lengths of editing the SVG files, for games that dont play properly)

Granted, I've been neglecting the theme for awhile now, but I'll add tweaking the PlayStation logo on the dark theme to my list. Thanks for the heads up.

Hey, @KMetal.. This is now updated on the official repository. If you update the theme from RetroPie Setup, the Playstation logo text should now be white.

Re: GBZ35 & GBZ35-Dark RetroPie Themes for Small Screens
FYI... Finally made an update to the theme today. Update the theme through Retropie Setup to see the changes.
- Added Famicom, Super Famicom, & TurboGraphx-16 themes, in response to a YouTube video bemoaning their absence
- Tweaked several system logo colors in the Dark theme for better visibility
