Splash screens?
Hey guys been searching around online and on YouTube and can't seem to find any decent retropie, gameboy, or Nintendo focused splash screens. YouTube had tons of copied videos of the same four or five intros and most were sub par or designed with arcade cabinet mentalities. Does anyone have any recommendations for quality boot intros/ splash screens? The one wermy had was kinda cool but kinda want something slightly more....flashy?

What are you after? Most are custom made so you could make your own or get / pay someone to design something specific i guess?!avenezia050493 wrote:Hey guys been searching around online and on YouTube and can't seem to find any decent retropie, gameboy, or Nintendo focused splash screens. Re: Splash screens?
I honestly don't have a set design in mind. My build is kind of utilitarian. Was hoping to find a splash screen that was kind of like a modern version of the retro boot screens. My snes n64 ps1 ps2 and gamecubes all had amazing splash screens on boot, it's something I miss about retro consoles.

Hardest part is the idea really. If you try to explain what exactly you want and how long it should be, I can try to make it.avenezia050493 wrote:I honestly don't have a set design in mind. I guess that's like a famicom thing? My snes was purple and grey colors. Still pretty cool though. How long do they need to be to skip the command screen?HoolyHoo wrote:And another SNES style. Again quick and dirty, lots you could do with these.

It depends how many roms you have installed but usually above 25-30 seconds is a safe bet.avenezia050493 wrote:I guess that's like a famicom thing? My snes was purple and grey colors.
