Wire speaker to RPZ

Post by dongilles » Thu Mar 16, 2017 8:58 am

Hello all,

Even with all the help from the forum I am unable to get the sound working. Now I was wondering, isnt it possible to wire the speaker directly to the Raspberry?

No, you will need to use a small amp, or use a usb sound card. I do not think you can hook the speaker directly to the pi.

What exactly have you tried so far? Maybe you have some pictures of your wiring, people will be able to help out a lot more with some pics.

Yep let the forum help you out :)

Getting my audio working was probably the most time consuming/difficult part for my project, but I got it all working eventually and its definitely worth doing it properly! I recommend the USB audio way personally, as the PWM method was too much of a pain for me.
