How to modify THIS Gearbest screen for 5v?

The wiki does not show my particular board, and a search of the forums found someone who asked how to do it, made another post that they had succeeded, but then did not respond when someone else asked how they did it.

Picture of my board is attached. Also are there any other mods that need done to fix resolution, flickering, brightness, etc on this board? Might as well ask since I have your attention

Thank you!

You would just put a wire as shown in red blow...

Do I still use the through holes for this modification or the connector?

I'm not sure what you mean. If you mean at the input its up to you - personally if you have the space I'd leave the JST in place.

There are through hole soldering points for 3v3 and other things by the center chip. I was under the impression that those were used for powering the board and transmitting the video signal.

I have recently used this board and with the modification as stated above.

My advice is to leave the connector in place and not play around with the soldering points / holes.

This 5v mod should take 5mins then you're set.
