Hi,

I just got all the pieces i need to do my own GBZ following the Wermy tutorial. I got the amazon BW 3,5 inch screen display but the pcb that comes with it is different than the one appears on the tutorial.

I have no knowledge on electronics and i dont know what problem i have and i was wondering if it is this issue about 12V to 5V.

Here is the PCB comes with the screen display.

Do you know what should i do? I have it connected to the raspbery pi zero but it doesnt work and dont show anything on the screen. I connected the red, yellow and black wires in the same exactly positions as Wermy show in the video.

Any help :P?

p.s: Sorry for my english which is obviously not the best :P

Look here - http://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php?t ... 8_Mod1.jpg

I used the same board in one of mine. Used this method and connected both yellow and white wires according to wermys original guide.

Wow, awesome, i just got electricity and the power works.

I can use retropie on the TV thru HDMI but in the BW display i only get a white screen like this:

Am I doing something wrong?

And really, really, really thanks a lot Robochris :)

Me too, I just got this board for my build.

I understand from your photo the ground and power going to pi and screen from the power strip. My confusion is the wiring from screen to pi, but it just might be the color thing.

The thin red line is the original yellow cable and the white is the original white, correct?

From what I understand, only the red is disconnected from the original spot on the screen and moved to the leg of that chip.

You are correct..

I used the red color instead of yellow.

Once you solder the jump cable your screen will run in 5V
