3D printed drill/screen guide?

Post by winnieblues » Wed May 24, 2017 8:17 am

Hello all, hope your doing fine on this lovely day/night

I was wondering if someone had stl file drill/screen dremel guides for button pcb/dmg-01? The button pcb Ihave bought does not have any holes to mark. I have included an imgur link to the board I have

If anyone could help me, that would be super! :D

you could use something like this:

Just make sure to print the actual size, not fit to, or anything.

Or it looks like this just popped up, the stl file is in there if you want to get it 3d printed.

I have also used @HoolyHoo screen bracket, with drill guides in my my most recent build (I used a similar PCB as you). It worked good.

I used old trick from my childhood, you just need the board, piece of paper, pencil and needle.
Put the paper on your board and paint the buttons zone using flat side of the pencil.

Then put the paper to gameboy case and use needle to mark the center of every future hole. And drill!
Here is my result:

Yep, sometimes the K.I.S.S approach is the best. ;)
