I had a lot of similar issues trying to find different versions of the Arduino software that would correctly compile stuff for the Micro/Teensy.

Looks like you need to install the HID library: https://github.com/NicoHood/HID (Use the green button to download the ZIP, then follow these instructions to import it into the Arduino software - https://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Libraries )

It appears you'll need Arduino software v1.6.7 or newer to get the HID library working: https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/OldSoftw ... s#previous

Yes, Teensy 2.0 works, I am using it.
It's been a while since I put the code in first, and I remember having some issues to match the buttons to the right pins. (I can't code btw.) So once you solder all the controls, you can just test it and rewire if needed.
