yup and did the tweak to change lines 23 and 55 i think they were to 1115 instead of 1015 and the voltage range from 4.09 to 32767 i think it was

I've also only used the 1015 so I'm not sure on the adjustments for the 1115.

I've never used the powerboost before. I would wire the battery direct to the powerboost battery input, and then solder a second wire there that will go to a0. (Or switch then a0)

A0 is already going to the switch and the battery + is going to the switch as well from the input of the powerboost already

is it possible that the commands might have to be run with sudo permission?

I doubt that's the issue. I would double check the solder job. Its hard to tell from the pictures. But it looks a little messy. Do you have any more clear pics? Do you have a multimeter? What voltage is being read at a0?

Also. If you are worried about the install of the script. Download the minty pi image and see if it works since it has the battery monitor pre installed.

i do not have a multimeter and i am checking a few of the solder joints as we type the ground did come off rather easy i could take some more pics if you think it will help isolate the problem

if you have some more clear photos of the powerboost to ads wiring that may help, and yeah if your ground fell off you other wires may not be great, that would cause issues for sure.

Here are the pics hopefully these are better. I'm going to try and redo the solder job, as I know it wasn't the best but if the rpi is getting power along with everything else they should be making sufficant contact then. I did have an issue a few months back with the sound bonnet causing me to have to do a fresh install of retropie and start everything from scratch to get it to work.

yeah the wiring looks like it is correct, you're certain you have the SDA and SCL wired to the proper GPIO pins on the pi?
