I have used samsung galaxy s2 batteries and they need slight modifications to the battery tray.

And also the entire same post (starting here https://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=4258)

If you go s2 way, i have some leftover stickers for the battery

try to search on ebay for batteries from mbuynow... the official mbuynow website does not sell them anymore, but you can find them on ebay sometimes.
Read this post i have made also to extend playtime and save your sd card...
With the optimizations and some tweaks, i have 7.5hours of playtime with the 4.8A battery

Well, go for a 3.5Ah. It’s still a lot of playtime.
You could get 5.5 hours of playtime according to my calculations ;)

No, no need for anything else. Take a look at my pictures from the battery sticker, you will see the pinouts values ;)

Hijacking thread. Does anyone know of any other batteries that fit? The i9100 was an almost perfect fit but I‘m afraid that the batteries you can buy are yeaaaars old. Average life should be only a few years and I suppose all sellers just still sell their initial stock. And the S2 is like 7 years old and I‘m afraid I won’t get replacements once I need them.

Using normal AA batteries isn’t possible, right? What does the Pi need, 3.5V?

Wouldn’t these work? They’re rechargeable 3,6V AA Cells: https://m.clasohlson.com/de/Akku-AA-3,6 ... gJ-mfD_BwE
