Does anyone know where I could buy a transparent cartridge shell for the Gameboy? I'm building my GBZ with a transparent shell and I feel like it'll look weird with a boring grey cart in the back. Doesn't have to be original, knock offs are perfectly fine for my needs and budget.

One option I found was to 3d print one of the many models on thingiverse but without a resin printer that will never look as good as a real cartridge.

Any suggestions?

That seems to be an actual gameboy shell. I'm looking specifically for the *cartridge* shells. (like the actual game part that you plug in)

Sorry about that.... I read that wrong, anyways I will keep a lookout and post if I find one.

You could always get a cheap Game Boy Color game on ebay (Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen game or something, heh) that has a clear cartridge and use that

Edit: Scratch that I forgot that a GBC cart might not work in a DMG due to the power switch. Here's a seller on ebay that has some clear ones, kinda pricey though...I'd do some digging on ebay, you could probably turn up a cheaper alternative

I have some nice transparent colored ones from Kitsch-Bent, but it doesn't look like they have any fully clear ones

After much digging on Aliexpress I managed to find one! It's kind of smoke clear rather that full clear, but it's closer to what I want until I can find something else:
