Stumbled upon an unboxing video for a zero custom made by a guy in china. Never seen back buttons done like this.

Love the look of these. I'd assume you'd need some sort of 3D printed bracket or something to hold it all together.

From my understanding, there is a pivot point in the SNES controller LR, now if you glued that pivot point down in the case and left all the rest of the button free of glue it may leave enough movement for a button to be actuated underneath it, I wouldn't use hot glue for that though as it may weaken or come off over time on a mechanical piece like this so after testing use something stronger to hold it. (Please not I haven't tried this personally but if I were to do so this is how I would do it)
