Case-Only Build Help

Okay, so I (like a lot of people (hopefully)) have decided to try and save money buy only buying the shell of a Gameboy.

This was all well and good until I realized something: I now have no idea how I'm going to do anything.
So, since the main board of the Gameboy is used to some extent, and since I have no experience in any of this, what parts would actually needed to be bought. And, also, if we assume that we're following Wermy's Unofficial-official guide, how would they be implemented??

I know this is a pretty big question, but it may help many people in the future.

(Also, I'm pretty sure this has been asked already, so I'm sorry if I'm just echoing other people here)
:)

The only specific part you really need is a controller PCB or common ground PCB, Many designs are available in the sales forum.http://www.sudomod.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=3

All the other parts are easily found via eBay or various other electronics parts stores worldwide

Ok, thanks!

So, is that basically the only thing in the actual GB that is needed and not mentioned elsewhere?

People cut out the on/off switch, volume wheel, headphone jack, cartridge holder, and controller PCB. None of these are needed for a project and can be purchased elsewhere.
