Anyone use Handheld Legend PCB Kit?

I built a pretty poorly thrown together GBZ a little over a year ago and I’m just not happy with it. I came across a pcb Kit from Handheld Legend here:

I was thinking of basing a new build off of this board since it’s pretty affordable and looks to have some options I want. Just curious if anyone has used this in a build or has some input on what they think. Thanks!

You can by the same kit on AliExpress for a fraction of the price....
Personally I feel it’s a poorly designed board....
It may seem like a kit, but it’s just a common ground PCB with add on that aren’t really required...

But i must agree with veteran, its just a common ground pcb... try tinkerboy AIO v3, it looks awsome... i'm waiting for one

IMO the best common ground pcb I have used is from kitsch bent. But that’s my 2¢.

I’m gonna have to disagree...
I’ve built dozens of these builds...
And I found his to be one of the worst designs
(IMHO)
It’s like he’s never built one using his board....
The biggest issues (and maybe really the only)
Is that the pin holes for the connector are just some of the smallest (if not the smallest)
And then you have the spacing of them....
this doesn’t really allow any wires to be threaded through them apart from something as super thin as Kaynar wire, which most will never use (first issues)....
Then you have the challenge of soldering them all up without bridging anything (second issue)...
(Because they’re spaced so closely together)
I’m no pro solderer...
But I’m very competent...
And I found the board to be one of the worst designs
It just setting up those who are new to these things for a really rough experience...
Better options are (especially if your new to soldering)...

Tinkerboy Basic PCB
And any of Erik_Gee boards....
Just MHO, based on building with nearly every PCB

I used this board, it takes up a lot of space, the D-pad is still not working well for me, if you want a cheap fee try this

I think that she, too, will not be the best option

I don’t disagree with you completely. The boards I used had two sets of pin holes which I did think was odd but I didn’t use the smaller ones. But I guess what I’m actually referring to is that was the only board I have used that, in the end, actually felt like a real controller. But maybe I’m just still bitter about the 2.2 AIO I used.

I'll throw in my $0.02.
While I know this is largely a DIY project and highly dependent upon the knowledge and ability of the builder, that kit as described on the sale page has no information at all beyond the photos. No pinouts, no links to build guides, etc. Out of principle I would not do business with them. If am going to get no info, I might as well shop on price and head to ebay/alibaba.
