I looked on adafruit and sparkfun, but they don't seem to have the specific numbers for their resistors and capacitors. Where is a reputable place I can buy these online (or offline?? radio shack?). Thanks so much!150 Ohm resistor, 270 Ohm resistor, 33nF capacitor (10nF will work fine as well if that’s easier to find)
Where to buy Resistors and Capacitors?

ebay is your friend! or your local electronic components store.
(TACTLESS, HORRIBLE, SHAMELESS PLUG: I also have the resistors and switches available in the buy, sell forum. capacitors are sold out though sadly)

Don't contact me about obtaining my board files (as you will not get them). If my Boards or PCB Kits are sold out, they will be restocked as soon as I can get them and there is demand for them. You can join the mailing list on my Website to be notified when they are available.

There might also be a few on Digikey and Mouser, but the prices might be a bit high. @OP, if you can provide your country, we might be able to help more.

I have a faulty PC motherboard laying around. Would I be able to reuse resistors and capacitors from that?

I found amazon to have all the parts needed quite cheap actually. This is where I find out I've ordered the wrong stuff.

Re: Where to buy Resistors and Capacitors?
Yes for the resistors, however you may need to be wary of the capacitors. Old motherboards typically have leaky/about to leak/high ESR capacitors, which won't work very well in the project. However, that doesn't mean that you shouldn't use them, just check them carefully first and see what brand they are as well (Capxon has bad quality, while Nichicon/Rubycon/Sanyo are among the highest).Fox wrote:I have a faulty PC motherboard laying around. So Radio shack has the ohm resistors but no capacitors.. will these work?crispy_tofu wrote:Yes for the resistors, however you may need to be wary of the capacitors.
