Re: PolletjeNL's Gameboy Zero
What precisly is the problem with the joystick USB board and Helder's board?
I would guess the ground?
Isn't it an option to solder all the grounds of the USB board together? Creating a common ground? Or does that not work?

Re: PolletjeNL's Gameboy Zero
So yesterday I made a big mistake. I forgot to power off my soldering iron, when going to the supermarket. After my return, somehow my soldering iron had fallen on my DMG-01 case........ AAARRGGGHH
. It melted some of the front part of the case!!!
What followed was a 30 minute cursing session
. Fortunately none of the internal parts where damaged.
So after my moment of disappointment I thought about buying another DMG-01 for parts. But instead went to Banggood and bought my self a black reproduction DMG-01 Case.
Since my original plan with the joystick pcb wasn't working together with the Helder blue PCB, I already had to think of another way to reorganize the internals of the GB-Zero.
So aside from the Teensy LC been ordered, and a new case, I also ordered a the OTG USB hub from Banggood. I read that people had good results with this OTG hub, since my other hubs weren't working with the Zero. I had one hub working but only if 1 device was connected, when connecting multiple devices, it fails detecting them, also the first connected devices, stops working until after the reboot.
It's a shame of the original DMG-01 case, but this gives me the opportunity to redo everything even cleaner.
Also I will be starting a separate project soon for my wife. She wants a GBA-Zero. So I ordered a aftermarket pink clear case from Aliexpress.

Idd this is the problem. The "common ground" is the same for the buttons and is not entirely ground at all, so when plugged in, it shorts out.TimBer wrote:What precisly is the problem with the joystick USB board and Helder's board?
