Small question.

what type of wires do you use? 26awg ? 28awg ? 30awg ?

Big thanks :-)

I believe 26 AWG for power (incl USB and screen), video signal and analog audio signal. 30 AWG (an 80 pin/wire IDE ribbon cable) for button input, digital audio (i.e. pre DAC) and USB data.

Great build as always! Is this a BW screen? Seems to fit perfect with the 3D printed bracket. I'm having some trouble getting my BW screen to fit as cleanly as you have with this build.

Yes it is, I think it comes down to the print itself and some of the screens. One screen I had to remove the metal frame around it to get it to fit. Also my most recent batch of brackets from 3D hubs (the one in this build is from one of the members on here) needed a little sanding to properly fit the case when test fitting for my next batch, but that could also be an aftermarket case issue too.

Great looking build! Two easy questions:
1. Where did you get your ribbon wire? I have been browsing Amazon but am not sure if it is what I would want to use for these sorts of projects.

2. Where did you get your blue Start/Select Button? I have been watching Retromodding.com to get the colors I want back in stock but no luck and haven't really seen them offered elsewhere.

1. Just an old 80 pin IDE cable off ebay (the 80 pin/wire ones have the 30 awg wires, if you get an older 40 pin/wire ide cable it will have thicker wires).

2. I believe kitsch bent, it came in the pack of their all silicone buttons, I just didn't the dpad or A/B buttons.

I will give KB a look after work. I was able to get around the grey start/select buttons on my GBA build by drilling out tactile button caps but that wouldn't work for a GB based build.

Thanks!
