Flush mounted screen

Post by Moxide » Thu Jun 16, 2016 2:27 am

I was following the same design of the tutorial but after getting things together and testing the display, I wasn't liking the recessed screen. So I went ahead and cut the front to just fit the screen flat.

I plan on painting the frame that is part of the display a grey scheme that goes with the original look of the Gameboy screen surrounding.

Do you plan to paint only the part arround the display? or the hole case?
If you paint the hole case I would be interested in your solution for the button lables.

Only around the screen.

If you are painting the whole body and plan on adding adding the button labels or such, I'd look into printable water-slide decals modelers use and apply with a decal solvent to set the decal into the finish.
