@Tamasco
Yes. If you'll check my build pics, I used JST connectors with varying number of pins, e.g., 2-pin, 4-pin and 8-pin connectors, so I can remove them at whim. Using these JST connectors, I'm able to separate one side/half of the shell from the other and even have the ability to use a different shell with different screen, controller, speaker, etc. This allows me to test or replace a component easily.

Picture below shows the diff. JST connectors that I used for my build.

What battery did you use on your project?
I used the 2500mah lipo from the credit card sized power banks I have, which fits great in the battery bay.

Here are some from Amazon:
1. GYMLE branded
2. Kolumb branded
Very cool! They look to be the perfect size.

Did you just remove the outer plastic housing to reveal the battery and the red/black wires?
No. I had to do the following:
1. add a battery protection circuit (see pic below)
2. add a JST connector to fit the PB 1000C battery connector

Hey chiz

Any advice on removing ports? I removed the ethernet by basically snapping it off piece by piece. Im worried about this method on usb because i dont want to break it and im not having any luck trying to desolder. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated :mrgreen:

The ports are among the hardest to desolder. Since I don't intend to salvage the ports, I just cut the the metal that my cutter can reach so I can lift them off the board. Once they're out of the way, I desolder the remaining metal and lead off the board.

First, it's not glass. It's the the plastic cover that came with the BW Backup Camera Screen. I used Elmer's Painters Opaque Paint Marker to make that curved line at the bottom.
