The teensy lc should have analog in and PWM out (if i can trust the info in found here: https://www.pjrc.com/teensy/teensyLC.html)
so it should be possible to intergrate the PWM code you have for your arduino, into the teency code that handles the button presses....

or am i wrong? :P

The other screen you mentioned (https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Raspberr ... 62038.html) doesn't fit into a Game Boy DMG case.
Also the keys to setup the screen are on the side making them impossible to press without modifying the case.
