Love this build. Love the cleanliness. What purpose is the copper plate serving? Common ground? I would love to try to replicate this. Super professional.

Excellent! I'll be using your build as inspiration once all my parts arrive. Those shoulder buttons look like the gems on original XBox controllers

That would be my guess. Perhaps some heat sinking duty if thermally connected to things too

The PCB plate is a common ground shield, holder for L,R buttons and power switch pcb and holder and heatsink for powerboost
