The battery and powerboard can fit inside the battery compartment. The battery is slightly to long, but by removing the side of battery compartment, it wil just fit fine. The powerboard has a heatsink. In the middle of the compartment I removed a little bit of plastic to fit the heatsink in. When my new case arrives, I will show you how I placed everything inside.TimBer wrote:Looks like it's all coming together nicely.
I was wondering if you already fitted your modified power board with the lipo and if everything is fitting?
Thinking about buying this board, because of the switching circuit that is build in.

Re: PolletjeNL's Gameboy Zero
So something has arrived

So first I took the old DMG an used the dremmel to remove the button holes. Ik re-shaped them, so I could re-use them in the new case.
I used the Helder PCB to pre-drill the holes for the buttons, with a little drill. I have to wait for the glue to settle, so I can finish the button holes.

In the meantime I mounted my Powerboard in the battery compartment. Before mounting it, I removed the sidewall of the battery compartment, so it will fit inside. Also I removed a square piece from the bottom, so the heatsink will fit. I almost forgot to drill the holes for the screws. Not the most nice looking thing but everything fits. I will probably make a black paper template to cover the powerboard.

I temporary removed the frame of the lcd to paint it flat-black. Afterwards I remounted the frame to the LCD.

That all for now
, more progress soon
