This may as well be the case, but he did not check properly. Maybe everything is fine and just his power supply lacks enough v.

I think you may have burnt out your 12v step up. I've used them a couple of times and they seem to be extremely delicate. Also check for any bridges.

The screen worked on 5v but it was not ideal. You could tell the voltage was off. That is why I got the step up.

I ditched the NiceShopping screen from amazon if anyone is curious and picked up one of the screens that can me modded. I have to pretty much start from the beginning. Lesson learned..

Well, it looks like I cannot catch a break here. I got the ePathChina screen and removed the IC and soldered the jumper and tested it with 5v and received nothing from the screen. Connected to the pi just to make sure and no video comes through.

Did you test it with 12v before you modded it?
