getting the case drilled out was by far the most stressful thing for me
i ended up nicking the faceplate a couple times, but nothing horrible
but i ended up accidentally widening one of the screw holes for the L/R buttons, it bothers me...

other than that tho everything has gone pretty well, learning to solder was a trip
and getting the SNES buttons to fit was an adventure, in which i almost lost a finger
all in all... everything came out nicely

Dude I tried to use the full SNES ABXY buttons but I couldn't get them to press right or protrude enough! How did you get them looking so great in the GB case? Also what silicone pads are you using underneath?

i shaved down the two big tabs' height to about half on the A/B and about 2/3rds on the X/Y and got rid of the small tab altogether, then glued in the wells from an NES controller
for pads im using the A/B pad from 2 gameboys, but i think the second could easily be replaced with the A/B pad from the NES controller

Dude looks great! Would you consider hot gluing the solder points and wires on the back? Im scared to move mine as of right now haha

IMO it isn't necessary, as those joints should be very strong.

my screen didnt fit right way up, but i can make this work
hell, it had built in screen flipping
just need to be careful about that ribbon

i also had a mishap with the screen's sister board there
the damn thing broke! i had to desolder the connector from it and solder the wires directly on
then i hotglued the other side's wires in place to make sure that one didnt break, too

the bracket is made of NES controller as the local hardware store didnt have metal bits that'd work
its also not glued in yet as the epoxy is still hardening

the screen protector's edges ended up a bit shitty, and i also ended up having to glue the front of it a bit
so it looks a little... meh
but it works and im okay with it
