Posted: Wed Aug 17, 2016 3:19 am
Hi all !
I just start my build
Here my plan
[17/08/2016]
Using a old Gameboy from my sister, I first wanted to create one using Rpi3 for playing N64 games, but reading a lot of posts I changed my mind to start for a simpler model using Rpi Zero.
So what I going to try is build this :
- GBZ
- Use buttons from Snes controller, all of them ! L1 and R1 will be like @chiz did it. In fact I really don't know how he make this so perfect !!! this guy is awesome
I also want to use start and select for L2 and R2 like @sabrettep
- Screen will be a 640*480
- Last @Helder all in one PCB, waiting so much for it !!!!
- @Dominator screen surrount and labels
- Maybe joystick. I think the one I buy is to big. But I start thinking of joystick extention
- Try to using some powerbank to avoid powerboost and other stuffs
- add usb Wifi and Bluetooth
- Keep one usb for external plugin
- Keep OEM volume wheel, speaker and jack
- Add external HDMI
- Not sure making SD Cartridge ... this is awesome but it takes place, so will see
Try to make some retrobright.
I miss it
I will give a other try later.
Start cutting for screen

Just received the Mi powerbank of 10000Mah !
It's big...
I open it to see the real size, but I think I broke something
I'm now think to put this is horizontal axis like this
I'm now waiting for missing parts. @Helder PCB, powerbank, wifi, bluetooth.
Just received the All in one PCB from Helder
I can now make the holes for X and Y buttons.

The powerbank of 10000Mah was too big obviously ...
So I change it to a Amazon Basic of 3000Mah.
It was hard to open but it now look perfect

Just make holes for L and R buttons. Was not so easy.
The R is perfect and L a little to large. But I hope it will work.
I now waiting for some JST-sm cable to connect Power to the switch, and a micro-usb cable to use the original hole of charging.
