That battery solution is elegant and beautiful. Wish I had thought of it for my build. If I didn't already have sufficient batteries coming in for my other planned builds I would implement it.

I still might implement it actually. 4,800 for a Zero build I'm making for the wife is more than sufficient.

I've also been toying with making a few of these as Christmas gifts for people, so there is that as well.

Thank you HoolyHoo for sharing this work with us.
I was wondering if keeping the original cartridge connector and using Kite's SAIO board is ok or you needed some tricks to be able to close the shell ?

I'm planning on using connector to keep the original feeling of the game boy.

I will also buy one bracket from you, do you still sell them and ship to france ?

Thanks a lot for tour reply !

Keep doing nice work for everyone's pleasure :D

I used and kept an original cartridge connector with my Kite build, it is not a problem. I only had to trim one of the nubs off of the connector. I can't remember which one but you will see soon enough.

Yes, we can get one to you in France if you like. Just see the link in my sig for more info on how to purchase.

Thanks.

Thank you,I have never done an official battery endurance test but I would say comfortably between 4 to 5 hours of playtime with various degrees of emulators and wifi being on and off.

Amazing job on this gameboy pi build. I used the same outer case theme and I love it! Your build looks so neat and tidy. :-)

hii,

so I bought the same battery as you but it doesn't quite fit inside the compartment (the battery's ever so slightly too big) so I was wondering if you cut the side of the compartment or something to get it in?

You need to grind the left and right side of the tray as about 0.5mm each side to make the battery fit. ;)
