Crazyfrog, you need to grind either left or right side of the battery compartment just enough before making a hole into it... it's a matter of 1 or 1,5mm lacking to fit the battery...
I suppose that with the pogo pins, we will need to grind both sides to give some loose otherwise you will insert battery and get plenty of pain to remove it.
I got almost all my parts but still waiting for the Kite's SAIO to start the build to be sure of pins placement before grinding the shell.

I got my battery today and did some search on the board to understand how to fit it... look at the photos on first post, you can see that it was slightly grinded on both sides
I can see pogo pins have clearly been added here https://www.mupload.nl/img/c09n4ot9ubazi.jpg but dont know which pogo pins to buy to fit.

you must buy pins for the galaxy s2 i9100 phone. The pins are used in other samsung phones but i didn't managed to find a list of compatibility.
I bought these from aliexpress

https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10pcs-lo ... 75669.html

but they are still not shipped. The shop didn't respond to my email, and in 2 days, the order will be automatically cancelled
i'm waiting since the 5th of July for this shop to ship the pins.

Thanks I was considering chopping up a external charger. I decided to just buy something cheap and local to me samsung battery connector and hope the pins line up well enough.

Be careful, it's not specified wether it is designed for i9100 or not. You have 3 pin only on this item while the battery has 4, it may end up with bad alignement and pins not in contact together...

You can also use 2 pins. Because only two pins are needed to use the battery. The other two pins are terminal pins.
On the back side of the battery you van find the pinout, use the + and - to connect the battery. The other two pins are loose.

I ordered the current amazon reverse lcd and got v7 off the wiki and didnt have to deal with any weird glue it just unscrewed. Its got 3 buttons on the back just like the adafruit so couldnt see the point in paying the extra money.

I was hoping in 2017 that I'd be able to get a true 640x480 screen without paying through the nose.

Actually, I paid nothing for this screen. I bought the screen and canceled the order after a day and got my money back. A few days later I received a package with the screen inside!
