Veteran's 2nd GBZ (HDMI Screen) (Completed)
Re: Veteran's 2nd GBZ (HDMI Screen) (Completed)
Hi Veteran,
Since I' ve read all of this post and a few other from the community, yours etc ... I am decided !
Decided to build my own GBZ .
So, bravo to you to bring this nice project here. Your GBZ custom project is really a jewel.
I have bought some of the items for building mine and I could test the hdmi screen with retropie on PI zero.
Now I have two questions about this screen:
- First, is there a way to set the colors ? The temp color seems to me a little bit too cold.
- Second, what are your settings in RETROARCH, resolution etc, but mostly for V-sync ? With V-sync on, there are still some small waves during scrolling in game. May be i' m not on the right place for this ?
Thank' s to share your projects.

not sure if you've got the exact same screen as me (there have been some slight variations to the one i bought)
also have you still got the touch panel on (removing it will make the display a bit more brighter/colorful)
also i didn't touch with any of the retroarch setting, i only edited the config.txt
heres a copy of the config.txt i had in my build
(i use Notepad++ to view/edit)
.

Ok thank you
I will take a look to your config.txt this evening, and ... of course i have removed the touch panel as you said
Earlier in this post.
Again, thank you.

Hi,VeteranGamer wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2017 12:38 amThe theme is downloadable from Es themes in the retropie options menu...
With this screen you can try them all and see which one you like...
The updated GBZ theme is now also available via there
I cant find both of your mentioned themes in the options menu. Can you help me point to them?
Or tell me other sources?

Select ES themes from the retropie options menu:
- look for themes starting with ruckage, those are the nes/snes-mini themes
- other one is comicbook by TMNTturtleguy

does anyone know what the little piece for the power switch/safe shutdown is called in this pic? It's not linked anywhere in the thread. It's the piece directly under the 2 round buttons.

thats the original slide switch holder that Wermy designed.....
you can either buy it, or download it from here (if buying, dont buy from anyone else.... they dont have the rights to sell) .....
https://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php? ... c_Hardware
but theres also another solution/option if you also going to be using a barrel jack power socket.....
this is designed by YaYa.....
